Crochet the first five rounds of the the 0-3 months size crochet hat. It should measure close to 4.5″ across the middle.

→ If your swatch islargerthan 4.5 inches, your gauge is looser than mine. Try using asmallercrochet hook.

→ If your swatch issmallerthan 4.5 inches, your gauge is tighter than mine. Try using alargercrochet hook.

  • This free crochet beanie pattern starts with a magic circle.
  • The chain at the start of each round doesnotcount as your first stitch.
