Episode 7 – Subway Tile Backsplash

Materials needed:

  • Cricut machine (or scissors to hand cut a design)
  • Vinyl
  • Transfer tape (optional)
  • Tape measure (optional)

Episode 6 – Personalized Cornhole Boards

Materials needed:

Cornhole boards

  • Miter saw (or circular saw or hand saw)
  • Drill
  • Sander
    • Sandpaper (at least 180 grit recommended)
  • Plunge router (or jigsaw or hole saw at 6 and 3 inches)
  • Kreg jig* (like this Kreg R3 system)
  • Tape measure (or ruler)
  • Pencil
  • Round object that measures about 3.5″ in diameter (or compass)
  • Clamps (optional)
  • (2) 2′ x 4′ plywood board, 1/2″ thick
  • (4) 1″ x 4″ x 8′ long boards
  • (4) 3/8″ carriage bolts, 2.5″ long
  • (4) 3/8″ washers
  • (4) 3/8″ wingnuts
  • Box of 1.25″ Kreg pocket hole screws*

Stain and glow-in-the-dark decoration

*If you don’t have a Kreg jig to make pocket screws, you can opt to drill normal screws into the boards instead. Grab a box of 1.5″ long #8 Star bit screws to replace the Kreg screws.

Episode 5 – DIY Punny Pots with Zooey Deschanel

Materials needed:

  • Cricut Joy or other Cricut machine (or scissors to hand cut the design)
  • (3) Clay pots
  • Spray paint, both matte and glossy (white, mint, and pink peony)
  • Permanent Smart Vinyl™ (black)
  • Transfer tape
  • Moss
  • Cardstock (various green colors)
  • Hot glue and hot glue gun
  • Glue stick
  • Foam paint brushes (or a sponge)
  • Acrylic paint (magenta and green)

Inspiration for: front yard, backyard, gardens, inside the home, and for decorating containers

Materials needed:

  • Cricut machine (or scissors to hand cut a design)
  • Concrete paint (two colors)
  • Mylar (or vinyl)
  • Painter’s tape
  • Concrete cleaner
  • Chalk line
  • Polyurethane
  • Stencil and paint brushes
  • Power washer (optional)

  • Transfer tape

  • Wood round (or pizza pan)
  • Stain (such as Minwax Early American)
  • Gloves
  • Table covering (to protect the surface)
  • Stain sponge (or use an old T-shirt)

  • Iron-on vinyl material
  • Glue gun (optional for embellishment)
  • Glue sticks (optional for embellishment)
